Cone Mixer Sampling System锥形混合机采样系统

Cone Mixer Sampling System CMXS There are many applications where obtaining a sample that is representative of the flowing stream is critical. The Flow Systems “Cone Mixer Sampler” (CMXS) system provides users with a compact, proven technology for obtaining samples that represent what is truly flowing through the pipe. Typical oil sampling applications determine the properties of the oil by analyzing approximately 1 cubic centimeter for every barrel of oil flowing through the pipe. That means that the API Gravity and S&W content are determined by looking at less than 0.001% of the volume. The volume that is analyzed MUST be representative of the oil flowing through the pipe. The CMXS works by directing the fluid in the center of the pipe to the outside. The cone mixer creates areas of heavy mixing just downstream of the cone diameter. The mixed fluid is naturally drawn to the low pressure created in the center of the pipe where the sample is pulled back through the cone.

Mixer Attributes
• Short overall length – by utilizing a sample point internal to the mixing device, the overall length of the mixing and sampling section can be reduced significantly. Other devices have the sample point located downstream, increasing the overall length necessary. This means the cone has lighter weight, easier installation and maintenance, and increased retrofit applications. • Proven Effective Mixing – Independent testing has shown the cone is extremely effective in mixing the fluids at bulk velocities as low as 2.3 feet per second. • Low Pressure Drop – The cone mixer design produces significantly less permanent pressure loss than other static mixing devices therefore reducing pumping times. • Adaptable – The mixer can be manufactured to fit the system requirements with a variety of lengths, connection types, and the inclusion of a thermowell for monitoring process temperature. The CMXS can be combined with a composite sampler for automatic sampling, or used with a valve for easy manual sampling.
